O is for Oh What Fun! Are you a Dirty Writer?

I’m guest-posting over at Sophia’s blog and I know you’re just dying to find out what a Dirty Writer is to begin with (no no, not that kind of dirty writing…), much less find out if you are a Dirty Writer.

I am! And I hope you are, too. Hop on over to find out! (plus, there’s a fun quiz and who doesn’t like fun quizzes??)

N is for NaNoWriMo

I desperately wanted to participate in NaNoWriMo this year, but as luck had it, I was in the beginning stages of my MS. I’m curious for those of you who have done NaNo– do you plan for it through out the year? Do you time your writing so you begin a new novel in the right month?

Short question for today’s A to Z letter, but I’m hoping to do this next year and feel as if I should start planning now!

M is for Meme- 7-7-7

I came oh so close to forgetting about today’s A to Z Challenge post! But thanks to Lora Rivera, I was reminded to post and given a great M-theme! I’ve loved reading other 7-7-7 posts and have secretly hoped for someone to tag me, so…thanks Lora (and I loved your 7-7-7) :)

The 7-7-7- Challenge:

Flip to page 77 of your current WIP.
Find line 7.
Post the 7 sentences that follow.
Tag 7 more writers.

Beyond us, hidden in a valley of sand, is a pocket of rich greenness. As far as I know, no place like this exists in the desert. Here though, trees and bushes spring from the ground, their leaves branching out, shading the earth. And in the middle of the lushness is a pool of sparkling, clear water that reflects the light of the moon.

My belly lurches. Hands scrabbling at the ground, I stagger to my feet and jog lopsided toward the water.

Kira catches up with Sam.
