Dessert?
Oh dessert, how I love you! And that’s the problem, isn’t it. I love you too much.
I’ve noticed recently a trend in people posting goals on their blog to keep them accountable. I figure I might as well join the club.
First and foremost, dessert, I just have to let you go. I’m not hardcore enough to make this a permanent thing and I’ll allow myself one cheat day a week, but otherwise, no more dessert… 🙁
And second, I have got to start doing exercises again. I managed to be good for a couple of months and did weight-bearing exercises four times a week, but lately, I’ve been a complete slacker.
Two goals, I can mange that, right? Right.
What about you? What personal goals have you set for the summer?
One goal I’d love to meet is to reach the McKinley achievement on the Expresso bike. My gym has these really neat bikes that are sort of like video games, where you can do interactive routes in four different levels, plus Dragon Chases (which is kind of like a real video game, where you run over colored coins and catch dragons matching them, and get stuff like 4X speed, Dragons Dazed, and 2X score). Right now I’m about 82% of the way to the McKinley achievement, 500 miles, and working through the Extreme routes.
I’d also love to finish both my WIPs, a 1980s historical and a postwar 1940s historical, so I can be ready to start my third Russian novel by the fall.

I try to make “healthy” versions of dessert so I can not let go. But they’re never as good. Regardless, go you and giving up junk!

Yes! You can totally do this! I need to start working out again too. I’ve decided to join a gym this week . I need to get my butt up and do it already:)
